Alfabetização científica: um novo olhar para o ensino das ciências naturais: um novo olhar para o ensino das ciências naturais

Ser alfabetizado cientificamente é o resultado da aquisição da linguagem em qual se pode ler a natureza, compreender o mundo e as transformações que nele ocorrem à luz do conhecimento científico. O Ensino de Ciências ganha novos significados quando contextualizado com a realidade do estudante. A partir disso o presente estudo objetivou responder a pergunta: Qual a relação entre o Ensino de Ciências, a Alfabetização Científica e a formação cidadã? A proposta é responder a pergunta e compreender esta relação fazendo um resgate histórico do ensino das Ciências no Brasil, bem como estudar a importância do ensino das Ciências Naturais na escola, e ainda discutir o conceito de Alfabetização/Letramento Científico relacionando-o com a formação cidadã e a Base Nacional Comum Curricular.

To be scientifically literate is the result of acquiring the language in which one can read nature, understand the world and the transformations that take place in it in the light of scientific knowledge. The Teaching of Science gains new meanings when contextualized with the reality of the student. From this, the present study aimed to answer the question: What is the relationship between Science Teaching, Scientific Literacy and Citizen Education? The proposal is to answer the question and understand this relationship by making a historical rescue of science teaching in Brazil, as well as to study the importance of natural science teaching at school, and also to discuss the concept of Scientific Literacy/Literacy relating it to citizen education and the Brazilian National Curriculum Standards. For this purpose, bibliographic research was used for data collection.

Alfabetizar-se cientificamente não se resume a fórmulas: é aprender a ler a natureza e compreender as transformações do mundo. A pesquisa investiga como o Ensino de Ciências pode se conectar à realidade do estudante para formar cidadãos críticos. Para isso, resgata a história do ensino de Ciências no Brasil e analisa o conceito de Alfabetização Científica, relacionando-o à formação cidadã e à Base Nacional Comum Curricular.
